To get a yearly extension she would need receipts of Income tax paid on 40,000 Baht a month.

You should not have any problems obtaining a Non immigrant O visa in your home country.

Copy marriage certificate, copy her ID, copy her house book should be enough.

Please state you home country, and some members from that county might have more advice.

If you are planning to stay here on yearly bases the you'll have to apply for "extension of stay" at immigrations in Thailand.

For this you'll have to have a combined income with your wife of 40.000 baht/month.

If you are over 50 years old the retirement extension can be interesting for you.

You'll need to have 800.000 baht in a Thai bank over three months.

This can also be combined with pension from your home country.
