Ive been with my wife fo just over 3 year, got phone records e-mails etc dating back for the 3 years.Only cos im lazy and dont bin bills and erase e-mails etc.We only got married in Jan this year after 3 years together and for the 1st time she has decided she wants to come for a holiday.I know she is my wife but a settlement visa would be a waste of time cos i know she wouldnt stay here anyway. We have a bought a house and land in Thailand and i hope to go and live there in about there 3/4 years.Im applying for 3 month holiday visa,im self employed and live in 2 bed council house, got no debt worth speaking of.I send her money every week so she does not work,im worried about the reason to go home question.Ive got character references from business associates,2 x churches and 2 police officers are there any other suggestions of what i can do.We also have been to Malaysia many times together, got flight tickets hotel bills etc of us together.I sometimes think it is just how the people that are doing the visa application feel on the day as to wether we get the visa or not.

Sure seems to me that if you get caught in a false statement it may quickly become "immigration fraud" and then preclude any future visa of most any sort. At least in the U.S. that used to be Section 212(a)19 of the INA, "miss representation of a material fact." Believe the clause has been renumbered now but still there.

If you have a decent case as it is, best to just stick with the truth, sure easier to remember and document.
