What is up with the weather here in Pattaya, not exactly very warm this morning is it!!!

End of the rainy season!

When the winds are starting to come from the North it's start to get chilly at night and the air will start to dry out.

The rainy season has finally arrived on Samui,last 2 days we've had torretial rain and temps are cool too.

Global warming per se ended in 1998 and the Earth has entered a natural cycle of Global Cooling.

Better get out the long johns and thermal underwear

Thermometer in my shop says 28.5C so it is coolish. It is a little cooler in the breeze out side.

Heaven help us if it gets below 20C the locals will be searching for thermal underwear.

My outside temperature meter in my car indicated 20 degrees at 7:15 this morning.

Kept the windows up and put on the heater... The joys of a European import car

It got replace by the war on terror and the global credit crunch.

It was 25 C in the condo w/o aircon and 23 C outside this morning at 7 am when I headed for work.

After the big rain on Saturday afternoon the cooler air came in from the north with some gusty winds.

Although the temperature dropped onluy by 3 or 4 degress....the air seems to be much less humid, so it feels acturally a bit chilly, but it is a nice break every year. The weather service confirms that this will continue over the coming weekend.

Many places in the North were down to 10 C this morning....

Freezing here in Buriram. Pattaya last week was ok but jeans at night.

I think it was two or three years ago I was here through Xmas and it was pretty cold a few nights. I felt bad for all the bar girls. They were quite uncomfortable. They were struggling to dig up sweaters and lightweight jackets . Even I found it uncomfortable to just sit outside with shorts on. Still a dam_n site better than New England winters!

Yeah, 3 years ago was the worst I have ever known it here. Sock and shoes most of the day or your feet froze. By 5pm it was way cold.

but during Songkran, the same complainers are the first to throw too cold and too much water into the overheated crowd.
