You were not interrogated with electric shock, nor were you at a gulag and nor were you abused. You were stopped as a DUI and treated appropriately. You are now behaving as if you are some sort of entitled person. Take responsibility for your poor choices and learn from it. No one is going to feel particularly sorry for a DUI, considering the amount of hurt they needlessly cause. -

Instead of making assumptions, you should learn what the laws are first. The legal blood alcohol limit for licensed drivers is 0.05%, and applies to both Thais and and foreigners equally. As in other countries, a lower limit applies for new drivers - those holding a license for less than five years, the limit is 0.02% The 0.02% limit applies to drivers under the age of 20, provisional license holders, and those without a valid license. You did not have a valid drivers license , so your limit was 0.02%. And yes, the allow allows for a 6 month imprisonment for first offenders, although it is typically used when there is serious injury. Jail isn't supposed to be nice. It is supposed to be a deterrent. You were in Thailand, not in the UK or Eu where detention centers are comfy and a nice sojourn for the criminal class. You are not going to gain any sympathy for being DUI. -

Thank you. That's interesting. An immigration fine of 2,000 Bath, with receipt, for the late submission of the TM.30 notification is irregular. If your wife still has the receipt, it would interest me to know exactly what reason for the fine is shown, in Thai, on the receipt. -

So according to Dr. Pierre Kory on is 'musings' website - Both girls contracted Measles and developed secondary pneumonia. He concludes that the children died not from measles itself but from preventable complications due to mismanagement - because they were treated with Vancomycin which is ineffective against atypical bacteria like Mycoplasma due to its mechanism of action targeting cell walls, which Mycoplasma lacks. Therefore, using vancomycin instead of an agent covering atypicals such as ceftriaxone combined with azithromycin or a quinolone likely led to inadequate treatment and contributed to the deaths. [Note: After measles, the immune system is weakened, making the body more vulnerable to infections like Mycoplasma pneumonia. The bacteria can then take hold in the lungs, leading to secondary atypical pneumonia.] Thus: Measles made the two children sick enough to contract secondary pneumonia - their medical management failed them beyond that. Had the children been vaccinated against measles (with the MMR vaccine), it is highly unlikely they would have developed measles in the first place - and therefore extremely unlikely to have gone on to develop secondary bacterial pneumonia as a complication. Failure to vaccinate is arguably the cause root of death, secondary cause is poor medical practice. Or, if someone doesn't like that comment - If the children had been vaccinated, would they still be alive today ? -

There was no abuse of power. Sometimes, foreigners who are arrested are later discovered to be engaged in other criminal activities or are on overstay.- 1
