[ so I could turn up having already booked my meal at Mountains Place (as my Thai wife calls the FC,Surin :o )

I trust that refers to the size of my meals rather than the size of me!!!!!!!!!!!

She did see your guts yesterday, so not sure!

Up to you

When I get back I think I'll stick my head in next time I go golfing down Buriram. Hopefully in the early new year if I can get the time for a visit to Thailand.

Spoke to Aiden the day after the boys hit town and he's more than willing to put on some snacks and things to keep the hunger pangs at bay but if he does not get a cook and some staff, please, for your own sanity, do not even think about trying to get something to eat there as he and his missus just cannot cope with that as well as serving the beer.

Well after finally recovering from Mondays Buriram Ex Pats get together at the Bamboo Bar / Paddys and then my birthday on tuesday, I decided that tonight I would pay Aiden a visit at Paddys to thank him for his hospitality (and the free servings of chips)

There was also a slight possibility that I may have time to stop for an ale (or 2) :D

Unfortunately.................................................

It was closed, again :o

I told him (no for the first time) that he has to set a standard opening and closing time and publicise it outside. Told him also to get some staff, whatever he has to do he needs staff urgently.

Now if he is just going to take the piss and close as and when he feels like it then he's going to lose whatever friends he has left.

Begs the question of whether you could trust him to actually open even if you had put on a party ?

Also, everywhere else is ramping up the Christmas theme and arranging functions. Perhaps Paddy's will open for some of the time ?

I'm off to Houston, Texas on Sunday 30th for job training, then should get my date for Iraq, and yes, I shall be doing as you say. All the more to spend in yours when I get back.

It's that or Brown's Broken Britain!!! I think I'll be better off in a war torn country than this decaying wretched hive of scum, corruption and villany, (and that's the poloticians)!!!!!

John..... :D

I did'nt see you as a Sun reader, John :D:D

I do agree with you really though!

:o

Paddy's

Us prospective customers/expats don't know where to go from one day to the next (well,I don't) so having venues that are not well organised with no regular opening hours (or warning of future events,Xmas for instance) is no good.

I for one will be sorry if the place turns into a beautiful 'showpiece' as opposed to a Bar for customers to regularly enjoy.

Who mentioned the sun Dave? Not me!

Although I must admit, your bang on the nail there.

Was it my remarkable optomistic perspective in life that gave it away?

Honestly, they were my personal views not a cheap (yet highly informative) tabloid printings. (You obviously observe it yourself at time to time). Look forward to meeting you.

All the best mate. :D
