November 23, 200817 yr Has anyone had experience getting a Police certificate for their Thai spouse from the Police Clearance Service Centre-Commander Special Branch-Rama 1 Road, Patumwan, BKK? How long did it take to the get the certificate? How much did it cost? Will my spouse's minor criminal record for fighting, from University days, cause a problem?

I thought there must be someone out there who has gone through this in order to sponsor their spouse? Canadian, Ozzie, American, Brit etc. etc. Anyone??
November 27, 200817 yr I have done this a few times. The service is free. It takes 10 working days to process. If you want it sent to your home address rather than going to pick it up yourself it will cost 40 baht. Not sure about the fighting. Geordie
November 27, 200817 yr TornedoX I can only tell you what i have had to do as i am British Photo copy of your passport detail page. Photo copy of you entry stamp and TM card. You can have them done there. Fill in the application form at the police clearance centre, they will then finger print you and then take your photo.Like i said the service is free unless you want them to post the certificate to your home, which will cost you 40 baht. Geordie

Geordie Thnks Geordie, not sure about why you had to do this 'a few times' but my Thai spouse is supposed to get one in order for me to sponsor them. So you are saying they should bring 40baht, a copy of their Thai passport, their TM card?(military?), and that is it?
November 28, 200817 yr I do this as i live in Thailand and work out of the country, i need to make visa's for my work. Some country's require police clearance reports. I do not think that your wife if she is Thai will need her passport, her Thai ID card and maybe her house book should be enough. Maybe someone who has done this for there wife/partner could comfirm for you. The TM card has your entry date stamped on it, it is always best to give more than give less even if they do not need it, i only give them what they asked me for. The 40 baht is only required if you want them to send the report to your house rather than go back and collect it. Geordie

Geordie This police clearance is for my spouse who is Thai so that I can sponsor them. It is a police clearance for a Thai Citizen. Are all explanations above the same for Thai citizens?
November 29, 200817 yr Dogonit here is a phone number for the police clearance center, ask your wife to call them. They should tell her what she needs to take. Tel 022052168-9 Geordie
November 29, 200817 yr Somehow, I suspect the OP's spouse is male since the op was asking about the military clearance letter. My husband got his police clearance years and years ago, but I do recall he needed his ID card and tabien ban. After asking, he thinks he also needed his military exemption certificate as well. Best to call and find out for sure tho.
January 29, 200917 yr http://pcscenter.sb.police.go.th/eprint.html There is a lot of info there, unfortunately the phone number cited above and on the web page doesn't work. Does anyone have a recent phone number for the Police Clearance Service Center?
