Tewkes
Need some advice on what option are available for obtaining a fixed IP in Bangkok. Currently have a standard True connection and they have offered an upgrade to their BIZ Pack Lite at 25,000 THB for a 2m/512 connection. Is this really the price for obtaining a fixed IP? I did a quick search and saw some references to prices of about 5-10K. Could anyone provide any recommendations?
lifeoflee
Hi, Are you sure you really need a static IP? Wouldn't a dynamic DNS service be much more economical for you? These companies even provide this service for free: www.no-ip.com www.dyndns.com Hope that's of help. Lee

lifeoflee
Ok, no problem. I just thought that if it was for a VPN or web hosting etc dynamic DNS might be the better option. Lee
Tewkes
It would have been my preference but I'm under orders from our corporate HQ and I know better than to question their needs.
lifeoflee
Not a problem if they're paying!
surface
That does seem high for 2mb. You can try these ISP's for a start, and there are others, I just had these bookmarked. http://www.catdatacom.com/en/product_details.asp?para=174 http://www.maxnet.co.th/product_adsl.php
