Hi,

me and my mate are stuck in KL as all the flights back to Bangkok were cancelled by Airasia, and as the situation is not improving and we need to get back to work we hurry to come back as soon as possible.

We were thinking to get a nite bus to Hat Yai and then from there to Bkk, is it in your opinion safe considering the actual situation and the previous problems on the border?

THanks

Perfectly safe. They cross at the Sadao checkpoint where there have not been any problems and travel through Songkhla province, where again, there have not been any problems. The Sungai Golok border along with the Patani, Yala and Narathiwat provinces are where the troubles have been.

The sales counters at Pudu Raya are best to buy a ticket.

Book your ticket several days in advice, especially if you want to travel on weekends as they tend to sell out quick (even more so now since it is in the middle of Malaysia’s school holidays).

You should have no problems. My work colleague is going the opposite way today, as he needs to be in Singapore for a wedding on Sunday and an important meeting on monday, in the ned it wasn't worth taking the chance that the airport is going to be open before Monday morning, which I think is highly unlikely, or if it is, it will be limited service.

Have a good trip.

Hope it's not too late for you.

Please check the flight route btw KL and Krabi.

I heard there's direct flight there.

My friends are planning to go KL next week from Krabi to KL by plane.

When you get to Krabi, then take the bus to BKK.

This way will save you 10 hrs.

Bus KL-Hatyai is approx 9 hrs. + waiting time.

Flight KL-Krabi will take 2 hrs. + waiting time.

All is safe.
