hi,

i apologize in advance for asking these questions that has been certainly asked before by someone else but i am getting lost with all those visa stuff...

I need some advice on how to stay the longest time possible in thailand on a tourist visa. i would really appreciate if someone experienced could answer to my questions.

therefore i am thinking to ask for a 60 days tourist visa at the thai consultate in HK and then ask an extension of + 30 days once i am in thailand by going to the immigration office in bkk. is the right thing to do? this will allow me to stay 90 days in thailand...

when do you have to ask for the extension of +30 days on 60 days visa?

what should i do if i want to stay longer than 90 days after having already got a 60 days visa and requested a +30 days extension? i read that if you extend your visa a certain number times, the immigration does not let you in anymore for a long period...

During the period of my 60 days visa i need to go to vietnam a couple of times.

by doing this, will my 60 days visa be cancelled? meaning, would i need to apply for a new one or can i keep using the original 60 days visa validity given to me when i arrived 1st time at the thai immigration at bkk airport?

MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP!

Yo

You can go to immigration in Thailand for the extension (1,900 baht) during the last 30 days of your permission to stay.

If you leave the country your permission to stay ends. To avoid this you can get a re-entry permit. (1,000 baht for a sinle and 3,800 for a multiple). This will allow you to come back to Thailand on your old permission to stay.

After that you can get a new tourist visa, best option is viantane in laos. They give you a double entry. There is no limit on the number of entries you can have if you have a visa.Only for entries without a visa there is a limit.
