Help Needed

Monday I have an apointment with the Dutch Embassy for a request of a tourist visa for my girlfriend. Anybody knows how long it takes before you get the passport and visa back. I hear somebody say for weeks, but last time when I talked to somebody from the embassy they said a few days.. The staff from the embassy is very unclear to me!! Hard to understand. Can somebody provide me clear information? We'r in a kind of a hury..
