Can a sidecar motorbike(saleng) be legally registered?
I don't think so.. As I understand it - to be road legal, side cars have to be factory fitted (such as the Tiger Retro 110 Sidecar). That said - it hardly makes any difference, clearly authorities turn a blind eye to these contraptions, primarily because they are generally used by poor Thai's and it just seems to be 'culturally accepted' that the poor circumvent the regulations, or rather fly under the radar. I've seen a family of foreigners on salengs in Rayong, but I also imagine if this became more common place we'd see people fined for their use. I thing renewing the Por-Ror-Bor (compulsory insurance and tax) of such vehicles is carried out without informing the DLT of the modification. I'm not 100% sure IF the DLT will officially approve such side-cars - its more a case of don't ask... -

Best time of day for jomtien immigration?
OK...for anyone interested ... went to jomtien immigration today a tuesday....got there at 12;50 stood in line with maybe 40 or so people ...moved quickly showed them packet of papers to include 30 day extension of stay, copy of passport and stamped page, tm30 rom condo, passport and one pic...got a number went inside and was #2 in line so i guess others in line were there for something else......five minutes later gal takes packet, takes 1900 thb, takes my pic and tells me to have a seat...at 1;20 they give me my passport all done with extension..less than 30 minutes arrival to out the door... WOW i was amazed as last year it was an all day affair...so not sure if today was just dumb luck or what but it was very efficient today... thanks for the tips...glad i went at 1 pm instead of early am like i did last year. -

Don't include Crimes, don't include the Donbas as illegally occupied since 2014. Only the gains since February 2022. Not that it matters. My question again: for what? If you say so. I guess you were here as I was in 2004 when one day I could buy a beer at 711 at 16:30 and the next day I couldn't. Illegal to sell to under 20's? Yep tis true but TIT. I've seen e.g. 8 yr old's buying alcohol for the "grown ups" at the local M&P. -

It won't only be Muslims screwed over by Trump.the rich will be OK everybody else will be screwed and pushed further down the feed chain. MAGA supporters will be the worse off as most of them are already behind the eight ball in many ways. As Trump told MAGA he likes the uneducated and he doesn't need their vote.Hope his new security detail is on the ball because there will be plenty of duped MAGA's out to make name for themselves.
