I just Googled,,, poorest countries in the world with the best amenities, nicest beaches and cheapest prices for tourists; with locals glad to accept slave wages and poverty, while smiling AND supplying female companions, so YOU can have the time of your life!!! paradise even :o

BULLETIN - Thailand is no longer in the top 5 --- SO --- go somewhere else! yes boycott pullease , pretty please, even! good idea for YOU :D

---

If somebody steals your wallet, that is theft; trying to make a living is NOT. In the modern, Global World, anybody who wants luxury vacations on $30 per day, on the backs of others, are the REAL rip offs, NOT the locals. heard of Fair Trade??? value for value even?

--------

This post was motivated by a cheap skate poster, and many who agreed, that tourists should get the Thai resident/employee pricing, but NOT Thai wages. [something about a $30 item that would cost them $100 back home that Thais could get for $20]

How can anybody enjoy a holiday when they spend all their time worrying about saving $5 here and 50 cents there??? skin flint even :D

----

ADVICE? put how much you are going to spend in a separate account. Have your big tight wad cry BEFORE you get on the plane that the account will be 0 when you return. Accept it. Yes, avoid obvious and major scams, but be glad, from then on, the money will be spent and for someone less fortunate than you, in some ways but not in others if you get my meaning?. [hint they have character]

Another option is to approach Thais and explain how you did them a favor by visiting their homeland. It is surprising how many will just divvy up money to show thanks!!!

Learn how to say in Thai, 'I am farang you should give me money' works every time! :D

TF IS I've seen way too many posts, over the years, by tight wads, always complaining that Thailand is not cheap enough for them and always saying they are the back bone of the Thai economy (NOT) and always threatening to take their $30 per day elsewhere. where? Hawaii < that's a joke.

If some countries and peoples are so poor that they can get a fairly good holiday experience or expat existence on meager funds is that a GOOD thing, for WHO?

Why not be thankful their low net worth goes quite a bit farther than it does in their home countries, instead of always expecting to treated like they are first class?

-------------

A lot of them should get their sorry <deleted> home, and I mean this with good intent.

My theory is that the Global Economic Crisis is at the stage where the water has gone out along the beaches. When credit card debts start to default and fuel prices go back up where they going, the mortgage crisis will seem tame, the big waves will come. Imagine how many tourists would not be in Thailand right now if oil prices had not dropped back down, and think where trade of goods would be. OIL WILL GO BACK UP!

They don't want to be stuck in an Asian country, when the global melt down hits, competing with people who adaptable and skilled in eking out a living, when they are not.
