December 9, 200817 yr I currently have a non immigrant B visa and I'm in the process of getting a work visa which should hopefully be obtained by the end of this month. Nevertheless, my dilemma is that I need to get a re-entry stamp before leaving the country at the end of this month, too. Therefore, I want to know if I get a re-entry stamp whilst on my non immigrant B visa will the re-entry stamp transfer into my work visa or will it then be cancelled because it was obtained with a non immigrant B visa. I'm sure this question warrants a simple answer, but I'm new to these visa requirements. Thanks! P.S. Is it best to get a multiple re-entry stamp or a single?

A single Re Entry Permit costs 1,000 Baht. A Multi costs 3,800 Baht. It all depends on how many times you are going to leave within the 90 days of your Visa. I suspect only once. There is no such thing as a work visa. Are you talking about a Work Permit or An extension of your permission to stay based on your job.
December 9, 200817 yr Whatever you are planning to get at the end of the month. A Re Entry Permit is tied to your current permission to stay stamp. So if you got it now it would expire on the same date as your Non Imm B Visa. Stamp.

December 9, 200817 yr That's ok. As I said a Re Entry Permit will have the same expiry date as the permision to stay date in your passport. Do you have a single entry or a multi entry Non Imm B Visa?

Do you have a single entry or a multi entry Non Imm B Visa? Sorry for the late response, I've had to do a lot of running around today. I was originally on a Non immigrant A visa, but it was changed today to a Non immigrant B visa. However, I'm not sure as to whether it is a single or a multiple entry visa. Nevertheless, I was told that the Non immigrant B visa was just to allow me to stay in the country for another three months. Still, the Work permit should hopefully be finalised by the end of the month. I am slightly concerned because I thought I would be leaving Thailand with one visa (Non imm , but upon returning to Thailand I'd then be registered with a Work permit and I'm not entirely sure how this would affect my Re-entry stamp. I think the safe bet is to stick to a single re-entry stamp for the time being.
