Retirement Visa Question

Recommended Posts

I have had O-A retirement visas for 2+years (not extensions- currently using Re-entry permit) and am under impression that 90 reporting requirment is not necessary if you leave country every 90 days. Am I correct on this ?

Recently I noticed a thread that said I must leave the country every 90 days and I never realized this (although I usually did this anyway because I like to travel) . Is this true ?

If you leave before you go over 90 days you do not need to make the report.

You do not have to leave the country every 90 days if you are on an extension or in your case on a non-oa visa.

If on a multiple entry visa of some type or a tourist visa then yes. But not a non-oa visa.

If you are not here for 90 days you do not need to report.

It all depends on what you have now. If you actually have a Non Imm O-A Visa you got in your own country you do not have to leave every 90 days.

If you have a Non Imm O Visa multi entry . Yes you do have to.

Looking back on your past posts it appears you have a Multi Entry Non O-A Visa. As you are on your second year of it you can come and go as you please with your Re Entry Permit.

You only have to report if you actually stay in the country for 90 days.

I agree with the above; that is how I have been dealing with the issue since 2004...have been on annual extensions of my retirement visa (with MRE Permit) and have only reported in for the 90-day report twice in all that time...because my business takes me out of country frequently enough and I automatically get a new TM form when I return to Thailand and the 90-day clock starts anew.
