Thaksin's Diplomatic Passport Revoked.....

Thaksin diplomatic passport revoked

Foreign Ministry announced Monday that it has revoked diplomatic passport of ousted premier Thaksin Shinawatra since last Friday.

It said in the statement that it has considered this matter carefully because it concerns some legislative issues.

It said that it has proposed the past three government the revocation of Mr Thaksin's red passport, but was able to do it only after the land deal case against him has been proceeded till the end.

On his ordinary passport, the ministry said it has forwarded the case to the Council of State for consideration. :o:D:D

My personal feeling about this is that he should just stay away from Thailand forever.

By all means revoke his diplomatic passport, but let him keep his citizens one.

If he DID come back (or was forced back as he had no passport) and served some of the two years jail time dished out to him, he would rise like a Phoenix from the ashes and be hailed a hero and saviour by his millions of supporters, and then become an "avenging angel" using his fabulous wealth to buy the Thai Political System again and use it to his own advantage, and crush his enimies, of which there are of course now more.

Thaksin coming back to Thailand as a prisoner or a citizen wll NOT be good news for this country IMHO
