Ie Keeps Stopping

Featured Replies

I have posted this problem before but still have not cured it.

My IE7 keeps stopping, the screen goes white and windows tries to find solution then restarts IE.

I have tried all the usual fixes, cleaned reg, run spybot, glarys utilities and cc cleaner. I have even installed Mozilla but problem still comes back.

It seems to happen more when on Thai Visa site :D

I have Toshiba Equium running Vista Home premium and it is starting to really bug me :o

Any help given would be much appreciated

Merry Xmas to all.

You're saying Firefox (Mozilla) is also crashing, just as frequently, and with the same general error?

Is your OS 32 bit or 64 bit? I noticed that IE on my Vista Ultimate 64 bit notebook was always crashing and restarting too. After I upgraded Adobe Flash player the problem stopped.

I am running Vista Ultimate 64 and have tried to run version 8 of MSIE with the same results as it would appear you are having. I did an uninstall version 8 and the problem while there very occasionally has pretty much gone away. So if you are running MSIE 8 remove it and see if you have the same kind of improved performance that I have had.

I do not have the same problem with any other browser, so it is in fact related to MSIE.

Im running 32 bit and yes Mozilla still crashes. I have tried the "uninstall IE8 and then run again" but the same thing happens !

It is such a pain and nothing I do seems to cure it.

I think I will wipe hard drive and reinstall Vista again to see if that cures it.
