I have an acer aspire 4720Z laptop and the quick launch button that enables/disables the wireless function will not light up meaning it cannot pick up my wireless signal.

The other quick launch buttons like bluetooth, etc, are working fine.

Any suggestion on the reasons why that's suddenly happened and is there anything i can do to 'run a test' or get it working again?

Or is a it a visit to the computer doctors surgery and if that is the case any suggestions on who to take it to?

Do you have Acer Widgets installed? Looks like a floating thing on your screen, in which you can set power saving modes etc. It's possible wireless is disabled over there!

Sometimes on my laptop, even though it is ON, I sometimes have to set it to off and then to on again to get it going!

Otherwise, go to control panel, system, hardware, device manager and check under network devices that your wireless adapter is enabled...
