can we stay on track regarding the ...the influence of the suns solar cycle on the earth?

everything posted above by various posters is common knowledge of the 'after effects'...but the cause, what is the actual cause? there has never been this level of activity recorded.

so lets post about the cause and not the after effects.

PLEASE research solar maximus, magnetic field lines, van allen belts, solar ion wind, magnetic pole shift, mayan calender and the position of the earth in relation to the milky way....not one person talked about the suns influence over the earth.

lets be forward thinking in this topic and analyze things that people dont usually think about.

Theres mountains of data out there, the sun has been constant while the earth is heating as we pump co2 into the atmosphere.

Solar maximus, magnetic field lines, van allen belts, solar ion wind, magnetic pole shift, mayan calender and the position of the earth in relation to the milky way are interesting topics but not related to the present temperature increase.

Actually, solar winds are completely relevant, as, according to the theories put forward in "The Great Global Warming Swindle" earth's temperature is dependent on them. The main point put forward in " An Inconvenient Truth" is that increased atmospheric carbon causes increased temperature, while the opposite ( which I believe ) is that increased temperature causes elevated carbon levels as carbon locked in trees and in the frozen tundra is released, as the tundra thaws ( which is happening ). What is more relevant, and horrifying, is that once average temperatures reach 6 degrees above normal ( source- National Geographic ), the methane locked in the oceans will be released, and we all die in methane storms.

We need to remember that the earth goes through cycles over millions of years, and most life is obliterated at the extremes. Mankind has been around for just a blink in evolutionary terms, and there is nothing to say that we will not be exterminated, just like the dinosaurs. People say that we have to "save the planet", but the planet will survive till the sun expands and burns it to a crisp.

The "Ghia" theory envisages the planet being a sentient organism, and as we have become a malignant parasite it is "getting rid of us".

I'd be more concerned if the politicians were taking it seriously, which would entail stopping all private car use, all air travel, going back to sailing ships etc. As I believe thay know the "real" story, either they know nothing will happen, or they believe there is no hope anyway, but can't say for fear of mass panic.

Something to think about, is that a major volcanic eruption probably puts more CO2 into the atmosphere than all the cars on the planet.

The other thing is that the excessive world population is of itself causing a huge increase in CO2 output, but no one is suggesting any realistic way of reducing it to a reasonable level, which would be about half of the present number ( IMO ).

I think I would agree with you here, but then the air is also a lot cleaner than it used to be (really). I used to really notice the change in light when I went home (I come from a place with no air pollution). I think the crap filters out a lot of the light.

However to get back on topic. The warmer it gets the more ice melts. Now bear in mind that fresh water freezes at higher temp than salt water, means that sooner or later we get more sea ice. This in turn will bring on another ice age as sunlight will be deflected back into space. That may come sooner than we like, and climatoligists old a majority view we are between ice ages. Before you think the warmer climes are ok. The last one created a major drought in the warmer areas, as the available water was locked up in ice. It is entirely possible that people alive today wil see the next ice age begin.

Salt water freezes at minus 12 C and fresh water freezes at 0 C, so if it is getting warmer how will we have more sea ice?

Surely if it is getting warmer then we will have less sea ice, so less ice means that less sun light is being reflected so it will get hotter on Earth.

It does seem counter-intuitive, but what we believe will happen is that as the polar ice cap melts, there will be a vast release of fresh water flowing into the Atlantic which will disrupt the Gulf Stream. THis will reduce the warm waters flowing north which currently warms Europe. Europe will then experience weather like those Canadian cities which are on the same latitudes. THis is what we suspect happened with the advent of the Younger Dryas.

As I understand it the Arctic may have some melting but Antarctica is actually getting colder. There also seems to be a lot a contradictory evidence that global warming has much to do with man's activities at any rate. Seems also that large cities have gotten warmer whilst many pristine areas are unchanged, so is it the population congestion and concrete etc causing the rise?

Regardless, less pollution can't be a bad thing, nor can it do non-oil producing economies a lot of harm to find alternatives.

when the sun's size increases, the gravitational pull will exert a broader influence on passing objects because there is more area for attraction (way more)...when objects are pulled into the sun, the MASS will also increase...theres alot of asteroids out there, and a few planets closer to the sun than earth.

but yep thats a few billion years away or closer than we may think, truth is we dont know when its going to happen...

we could be fried by a solar flare tomorrow or even by a gamma ray burst on the other side of the galaxy, or even taken out by a bottle by a bargirl.

Why so many people can't accept the fact that this is not a myth or a conspiracy is baffling to me. This wasn't a government created issue to raise tax or do any other mumbo jumbo like some are suggesting. I think the fact that people have politicized it is very tragic.

Two things more than anything else influence the earth's temperature, 1: the tilt of the Earth's axis relative to the sun (ask yourself what causes the seasons) 2: The chemical make up of the earth's atmosphere.

For many of these things discussed the effects are often cyclical (over thousands of years) and for the most part ultimately predictable, but we are at a point where things are proceeding away from past occurrences, especially in regards to Earth's climatic cycles.

For man to think that he has dominion over earth's lands and skys but has not the possibility of negatively (or positively) impacting it is thoughtless folly.

Its not just a matter of how much we have impacted earth's carbon dioxide concentration, its a matter of how we've affected everything in turn and how for lack of better words, we have changed the game. Earth's ecosystems, Earth's atmosphere, everything we affect.

Just a simple question, Is it more likely that the natural balance of everything (like some are suggesting) is finally unraveling or has anthropogenic causes shifted the balance a little?

If you want to believe that this is natural, now ask yourself the last time such immediate change has happened during a natural cycle?

The Global Warming Hoax is about 1 & 2 above plus 3 ) a naked attempt to strip us of our freedoms.

true trees need co2 to live, but theres much less trees nowadays and the major player in the exchange of co2 to o2, plankton...is dwindling.

true signs of emminent and drastic change can be found in the cyclone patterns of the past few years, there have been a record amount...this is a true sign that something just isnt right.

imo the earths magnetic field is changing and the magnetosphere is weakening, this will cause a climatic change on different parts of the earth, whether this will prove to be catastrophic or beneficial is to be determined...but probably both depending where you are on earth.

for people who believe it is a hoax, try finding on youtube: 'iron mountain, blueprint for tyranny' - dont pay attention to the religious stuff.

another one to consider is weather modification eg; via nikola tesla's misused whardencliff apparatus...and possibly the HAARP program...before you say nikol tesla's radiant free energy is a hoax ... look in your pocket, your mobile phone is a culmination of free energy transfer, just tremendously below its transmission capabilities.

when i say free energy, i dont mean free as in something for nothing...i mean wireless transmission of electricity to everyone on the planet.
