Hello, here are some of the pictures I took this morning and afternoon.

I was looking for some friends in Patong Hospital, but it was a bit

chaotic there. But nevertheless, they take care of anybody, who needs

it. I tried to get down to the beach road in Patong, but the police

chased me back up hill. I guess not only because of a new wave, which

did not come, but they afraid of looting, too. A friend of mine has a

jewelry shop near the beach, everything is gone, including jewelry and

gems worth about a million EURO!

It is a desaster!

Feel free to put the pictures in your gallery. Pictures a from Karon

Beach and Patong Beach except one showing the beach in front of the Le

Meridien Hotel. All deckchairs are washed away.

Greetings,

Wolfgang

seems you were lucky George

If it were not for the unstability of the area (pulo) I would have been there.

scary! :o

I feel bad for the decent people of southern Thailand. This is the last thing the area needed.

Would anyone object if I rehosted these pics and posted them on another message board?

If I point to TV, the servers will get hammered to the point of collapse.

Okay, I'll give it a miss then.

(If I link to TV, then there is a good chance that the extra demand will overwhelm your servers and I don't want to screw up people's only form of accurate information)
