RusticCharm Posted January 18, 2009 Author Posted January 18, 2009 Hey! I didn't know you knew Carabou. Btw, the guy second left is a top bloke. Met him on the Bang Saen/Chantaburi ride. Just returned from Pattaya today and that Bang Na-Trat highway is a f*cking disgrace . Okay, I know bikes aren't supposed to use it but the amount of deep potholes going east is ridiculous and using the frontage road is naturally out of the question as it's a death-trap. Returning to Bangkok is just slightly better. Ok, sounds like a great event that shouldn't be missed That's wonderful! Should I try losing some weight before February 13th to avoid pissing you off?
Pdaz Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Twas a great day yesterday... More bikes... and all Thai except for two (stoutish) farangs......
dotcom Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Yes the 34 is a mess. I suggest the 3 into Samut Prakarn instead. Good fun. Great day yest on Japanese bikes!!! LOL.
dotcom Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 I still think this is one of the nicest Customs I've seen. No idea who built it.
Blues Factory Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Should be a great weekend, I'm looking forward to it. I'm gonna sponsor again and we will hopefully have The Rock Machine on stage with of course "The Guitar King of Thailand" Lam Morrison!
RusticCharm Posted January 18, 2009 Author Posted January 18, 2009 Lam Morrison kicks serious ass. What time will he be playing?
Blues Factory Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Lam Morrison kicks serious ass. What time will he be playing? Time is to be confirmed but saturday night probably around 930 - 10ish.

I'll be riding down from Bangers, but I plan to take the scenic route via Chacheogsao and will avoid the Bang Na-Trad road at all costs! Give me a call if you'd like to ride down together. Happy Trails! Marc Anthony (Tony)

RusticCharm Posted February 5, 2009 Author Posted February 5, 2009 I've now been contacted by a few riders about this. How about if we do take the 3 highway instead of the BangNa-Trad, meeting outside BITEC around 4.30pm.
JimsKnight Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 What kind of bikes can you expect? If there's just gonna be a bunch of old fat farangs trying to look tough with their cruisers I won't bother. If there'll be a few sportbikes or some cool customs I'll have a look. Hey, some of the 'fat' farangs can be cool dudes, don't be too judgmental against the biking brothers man! I ride a sportsbike and hopefully there will be some more this time to 'even' out the pack a bit . The Choppers don't half make a rumbling blast though
RusticCharm Posted February 6, 2009 Author Posted February 6, 2009 Sounds good.Okay! A tentative agreement. Anyone else want to join? Outside BITEC (Bang Na), next Fri afternoon 4.30pm, taking no3 highway. So far, dotcom and myself with 2 other duc's.

I will be coming from Future Park - going to try and push through the monthly owners meeting (lol) run home grab the wheels and meet up. dotcom / rustic can you PM me with your contact numbers....maybe meet this weekend for a bevie and a chat? Chris PS: Still have not made arrangements for hotel yet!

Outside BITEC (Bang Na), next Fri afternoon 4.30pm, taking no3 highway. So far, dotcom and myself with 2 other duc's. Indeed, sounds good, whatever "tentative" means though. Would prefer however to leave a bit earlier to avoid rush hour and driving in the dark (yes, I'm afraid of ghosts...). Let's be honest, if meeting time is scheduled for 4:30, according to Thai habits we will not leave before 5:30, will we? Glad to join you guys then!

Agreed leaving earlier or "on time" (lol) is ideal.... If everyone is free this sunday - maybe meet for a bevie and a chat to try and sort details and put name to face .... (Just a thought)... Chris
RusticCharm Posted February 6, 2009 Author Posted February 6, 2009 Indeed, sounds good, whatever "tentative" means though. As in 'not many others have agreed to it yet'. I would also prefer to leave earlier but the earliest I can sneak away from work is about 3.30pm and I'm coming from across the river. Leaving at 4.30 gives us about 2 hours of daylight riding. And no need to worry about Thai habits as so far, (I'm assuming) all of us are westerners. But if there's a consensus among most to leave earlier, then I may just take the day off work.
BigBikeBKK Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Hi All! I'll be riding down Friday afternoon from Bangers, but taking the scenic route via Chacheongsao on Highway 304 and hooking up with the Friend Highway Club in Chonburi and on to Pattaya from there. Any are welcome to join. Happy Trails! Tony
HyperRai Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 4.30 from BITEC is very late! It will be difficult to get away from there on a friday. Better if we leave earlier. Anyone of you want to join me on a ride to Kanchanaburi this weekend? Drive carefully! Reimund
