Has anyone heard anything from Mu Ko Surin yet? Alot of the most popular beaches are in bays and coves facing in a westerly direction with most accomodation at beach level...

Managed to find this link to a CNN eye-witness report from Ko Surin.  Looks like they got away with it relatively lightly although a lot of damage to the accomodation areas.

Here is a further link regarding Mu Ko Surin and how the Morkan sea gypsies seemed to know what was unfolding.

Unfortunately, most of the Morkan stay on Ko Surin Tai (South) island and would have been unable to give any warning to Ko Surin Neau (North) across the water.
