Visa - Different Informations

Featured Replies

Hi!

I have a question.

My name is Sven, I am 35 years old and I am unfortunately not close to retirement.. ;o)

I have a girlfriend in Thailand and would like to live with her in Thailand without marriage so far, because it is a very fresh relationship.

Now I searched the internet for informations about the visa, what i have to do (visa run or something else), but on every page I get different informations. If I am informed correctly there was a change a few month ago and now everybody has different informations for me and that drives me crazy.

do you know what i have to do to stay with her?

Is it possible to stay the whole year with several visa runs and so on?

I think I would not need a work permit because I am going to trade shares on my own to have an income.

Thank you very much for your help and have a nice weekend

sven

As you appear to be based in the UK there is an easy option for you.

Apply to the Thai consulate in Hull, Birmingham or Cardiff for a

Multi-entry Non Immigrant O visa.

State "visiting Thai friends" as the reason.

This visa will give you a 90 entry, and then you do a border run.

Out and back in, all in one day if you wish, to get a new 90 day stamp.

The visa remains valid for one year, so if you do a last border run just before it expires

you will get a further 90 days, making almost 15 months.

I assume you do your share trading on the internet.

Well don't tell people, just say you have money in the bank.

There is a recent post from a member from Spain who applied to Hull by post and they sent his passport with Visa back to Spain.

There was also a report that a consulate in Germany was also very helpful. I think it was Stuttgart, but not sure.

Found the report from Spain http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Multiple-Non...ll-t233914.html

Generally, honorary consulates are more customer-friendly and responsive to individual applicants’ needs than consulates staffed by Thai government employees.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

I based my comments on where you wrote the message................
