Featured Replies

A 32-year-old American man died after jumping into a lake at a housing estate in Bang Phli, Samut Prakan, on 7 July, following an apparent episode in which he allegedly damaged a rented house worth 22 million baht. Rescue divers recovered his body after he disappeared beneath water reported to be more than 10 metres deep, despite police and emergency responders being at the scene. Politics(Right)

According to reports, the man, who was not named by authorities, had rented the lakeside property for 35,000 baht per month and had lived there for around three months. The homeowner said the property, valued at 22 million baht, had been extensively damaged overnight, with paint spread throughout both floors of the house and over sofas and other furniture.

The homeowner said they were shocked by the destruction, adding that they had carefully selected the tenant before agreeing to the rental. The damage was discovered shortly before the fatal incident.

A security guard at the estate told police the man had displayed unusual behaviour before entering the estate. The guard said he rolled around on the road and repeatedly raised his hands while praying to God.

When patrol officers arrived, the man reportedly became frightened, ran from police and jumped into the estate’s lake. Witnesses said nobody entered the water because of its depth, estimated at more than 10 metres. Divers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation searched for around 30 minutes before recovering the body.

The man’s 22-year-old girlfriend said they had been together for three years and that she had never previously seen him behave in such a manner. She believed the events inside the house may have happened while she was asleep.

Police searching the rented house and the man’s vehicle found two unused syringes on a car seat and unidentified white tablets inside a waist bag. Officers have not confirmed whether the items were linked to the man’s behaviour.

Investigators at Bang Phli Police Station have sent the body for a full post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death and to conduct toxicology tests for possible drugs or other substances. Police are also coordinating with the United States Embassy to complete the required procedures. Daily News reported that the investigation remains ongoing. Breakingnews alerts

Yes, that was the same guy. I'm surprised he was still in the country following his previous outburst. He obviously had serious mental issues. https://fitnessvolt.com/connor-murphy-dies-drowning-thai

PATTAYA, Thailand – An American national and YouTuber with over 2.4 million followers, Connor Michael Murphy, 30, caused panic and chaos inside his residence in Garden Ville Village, east Pattaya, on May 1, as he went berserk, injuring his wife and causing extensive property damage.

Police responded to the scene to find Murphy exhibiting signs of confusion, shouting incoherently, and vandalizing property inside the house. Bloodstains adorned the walls, with a bloodied golf club lying nearby, indicative of the violence that had unfolded. Murphy himself sustained injuries, including lacerations from shattered glass on his abdomen.

Could be him yeah, definitely. But if that is so, surprised he wasn't banned from Thailand after the Pattaya incident.

This Youtube video about Connor Murphy was made 5 years ago.

He has a history of psychedelics / ayuhuasca

Autopsy Ordered After American Dies in Bang Phli Lake Following Erratic Behaviour

Thai police have launched a full investigation into the death of a 32-year-old American man who drowned after fleeing into a lake at a housing estate in Bang Phli, Samut Prakan, as new details emerge about his behaviour before the incident.

The incident occurred at about 3pm on 7 July when officers from Bang Phli Police Station responded to reports of a foreign man acting erratically before jumping into the estate’s lake. Divers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation recovered the body of Connor Michael Murphy, 32, around 20 metres from the shore after a search lasting approximately 30 minutes.

Police said the body showed no signs of assault. It has been sent to Ramathibodi Chakri Naruebodindra Hospital for a full post-mortem examination, including toxicology tests to determine whether drugs or other substances played any role in the incident.

Video recorded by a village employee captured Murphy swimming in the lake before he became exhausted and disappeared beneath the surface. Witnesses did not enter the water because it was estimated to be more than 10 metres deep, prompting an emergency call for rescue divers.

A village security guard told investigators Murphy had returned to the estate by taxi and attempted to pay the driver 1,000 baht, but the driver refused after noticing his unusual behaviour. He then tried to persuade a resident to drive him into the estate before becoming increasingly agitated, shouting loudly, rolling on the road and repeatedly raising his hands in prayer.

When patrol officers arrived, Murphy reportedly ran into the estate and jumped into the lake. Police called for additional support but were unable to intervene before he disappeared beneath the water.

Murphy’s 22-year-old girlfriend said the couple had been together for around three years but had only resumed living together within the past three months. She said he had behaved normally before the incident and had never previously shown signs of a mental health crisis or violent behaviour. She added that the extensive damage inside the rented house likely occurred overnight while she was asleep.

The owner of the lakeside property said she was devastated to find the 22-million-baht home covered in paint, with furniture, electrical appliances and interior fittings extensively damaged. The house had been rented to Murphy for 35,000 baht per month and he had lived there for only three months.

Detectives searching the property and Murphy’s vehicle found two unused syringes on the driver’s seat and unidentified white tablets inside a waist bag. The items have been seized for forensic examination.

Police are continuing to gather evidence and have notified the United States Embassy in Thailand as the investigation remains ongoing. Toxicology and post-mortem results are expected to determine the exact cause of death and whether any substances contributed to Murphy’s behaviour.

The pic of kitchen is from a 22 million baht home? Really

Looks like he was a bush chemist!

Well, when you mix mentally ill with recreational pharmacuticals or roids etc., then it isn't going to end positively. I too am surprised he was still allowed to be here after previous lunatic antics and destruction... I guess though, now it's the end and the final curtain on this circus show falls down.

He must have done the damage quietly, or she sleeps very deeply........after taking what?

You understand that the 22 million is probably based on the value of the lakeside land?

Seems a case of influencer/tik tok er gone wrong.

It's a little similar to Larry Ellison's breakdown in Costa Rica. 15 or so years ago. But I think Ellison killed his neighbor.

Be careful there. You have the current CEO of Oracle as a murderer. I think if you google John McAfee you might be enlightened.

Unfortunately,

The man was an accident waiting to happen.

What's his girlfriend saying that she hasn't seen him behave like this when she has been with him three years, and evidence above shows he did it before at another place two years ago.

The kitchen looks like a homemade lab!

It seems to me, she may be telling porkies!

Furthermore, there was very little to see of the house itself to form any kind of opinion on the house value.

35,000 baht a month for a 22 million baht house seems very cheap.
