Featured Replies

Hallo!

I am very interested of orchids and would like to visit the Siriporn orchid farm. I don´t want to take a taxi since we have a rented car.

Can anyone describe how to drive? :o

Hallo!

Can anyone describe how to drive? :D

Put the key in the slot at the side of the steering wheel and start the engine, once started, move the stick next to your left leg to the the D position, press the right hand food peddle and using the steering wheel point the car in the direction you wish to go

Sorry if thats not enough information :o

What if he's got a manual car?

And would that have a food seller in it to or would he use the foot pedal?

These people are plain mean! :o

First, adjust your mirrors and put on your seat belt........... :D

Take sukhumvit soi 89 - Toongklom Tanman, about 4K soi 13 on your left, drive right round to the Elephant Camp, about 100m before you reach the Elephant Camp cut across the dirt road on your right (sometimes has a sign but the elephants keep knocking it down!), and you will come to it.

Or, go all the way to the end of Toongklom Tanman and take a left, about 2k's and you will see it signposted on your left!

Warning!!! Dont be expecting a big / fancy place!! :o

And where about is Suk Soi 89? Nearest landmark on Suk itself please>

About 200m south of underwaterworld, just past Greenway Golf.

Thanks. The missus likes orchids so it may be one to check out.

There's suposed to be a big orchid market in Sattahip, does anyone know of it?

Go to the very end of Soi Nern Plub Wan, turn left at the T junction, and about 500 meters along you will see a sign for Siriporn Orchids pointing right. Take the right, and follow the signs. It is well sign posted and easy to find.

It is a very interesting place, with some wonderful orchids. If you are lucky and you find the the old boy who owns it there, he will give you a guided tour and explain everything about growing orchids, and show you some of the really rare ones.

He will also show you his large pond, and he will throw a stone in, and about 200 fish will suddenly appear :o

He is a fascinating character and speaks excellent English. It's worth the trip just to chat to him.

Enjoy :D

It seems to be difficult to get the right answers at this forum. Are you all from UK, USA, and Australia, since you allways are picking of my spelling, writing etc. Anyway, did I told you guys that I have been driving rally for 10 years?

You've come to the right country then. Most Thais have been "driving rally" all their lives. :o

Regards

I drove around pattaya ( i think i never left) for about 12 hours looking for these funking places next day i took a tour bus i still couldnt tell you where it was.

Very easy to find if you follow my directions on post 9. I found it first time, no problems.
