Jomtien Vs Rayong?

Featured Replies

Hello,

We've just toured Pattaya and Jomtien, looking for a one month rental near the beach, probably to extend over time.

Too expensive in Pattaya, but we found a clean room just across the road from the Jomtien Beach. Only 500b/nite. We like Jomtien beach because there is no loud music late in the evenings due to discos or karaoke bars.

We heard Rayong is even more appealing and scenic. Does anybody know of an area in Rayong similar to Jomtien Beach? We would actually prefer a resort style bungalo over a hotel room but we can't be too fussy with our limited budget. The most important things are to be walking distance to the beach (or right on it) rather than off somewhere perhaps more for the money but too isolated feeling. We like being near activity. A/C a must, and wifi would be great but not req'd.

We'll be driving to Rayong later this week to search for a similar setting/accommodation.

Any recommendation would be very much appreciated !!

Thanks!

Hey, I know it doesnt have a beach, but have you considered living in Lopburi??? :D:o

Rayong is quite nice...lots of very quiet resorts.
