I recommend 'The Boat Bakery' and restaurant on 2nd Road for a hearty breakfast for just 48 Baht:

2 Eggs

2 rashers of delicious high quality bacon

A large fine quality sausage

Freshly baked bread & toast/butter/jam/marmalade

A choice of piping hot tea/coffee and perpetual refills.

GREAT!

48 baht??? where on 2nd?

The Boat Bakery is opposite Pattayaland Sois on 2nd Road, you can't miss the big 'Boat Bakery' sign. Established 42 years ago, its bakery has earned it a fine reputation in Pattaya. They do made-to-order Birthday Cakes for a reasonable price.

Their English breakfast is the real works for 48 Baht.

2 Eggs (If you choose scrambled you get more like 4!)

2 rashers of delicious high quality bacon

A large fine quality sausage or a choice of 8 mini sausages.

Delicious grilled tomato

A small Black pudding

Freshly baked bread (that morning) & toast/butter/jam/marmalade and other preserves

A choice of piping hot tea/coffee and perpetual refills.

Lashings of HP Brown sauce available.

syd - Idid say IMO - I have had breakfast at Boat Bakery and did not enjoy it at all.

Aussie breakfast leaves out the black/white pudding and has baked beans.

You can ask for baked beans at the Boat Bakery, but just add 12 baht to the total bill!

baked beans are entirely gratuitous. it's total gluttony and should not be celebrated in the early hours of the day.

I usually celebrate them all day.

My wife has hidden the tin now.

I currently buy 'Ayam Brand' baked beans in Pattaya supermarkets. Can anyone recommend an alternative "tried & tested' brand here in Pattaya?

Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks. :)

12 baht? They are 100 baht for a small portion at Bob's BBQ, but good. :)

Instead of Ayam baked beans I have switched to 'Brook' baked beans (available in Friendship Supermarket, Pattaya Tai) Price: 39 Baht (Special Offer).

They are better than Ayam (not as sweet) and I recommend them! :)

Additional note: These 'Brook' baked beans are imported from Australia.

I still say for 110 Baht the Apex Hotel is probably the best value for Breakfast in town. The choices of the all you can eat buffet are plentiful.

Barry

It is good value if you have a big appetite. However I noticed that there are no baked beans and the sausages taste funny, so I ended up just eating sixteen eggs and ten rounds of toast.
