Condensed Milk

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me where to buy condensed milk in Bangkok? It's usualy sold in cans

Cheers

sold in every supermarket in Pattaya so you shouldnt have a problem.

A Google search about condensed milk will show it's very popular in S.E. Asia. Especialy in Vietnam. So you should be able to find it

Are you wanting sweetened condensed milk or evaporated milk? Sweetened condensed milk is very easy to find. Evaporated milk is not; I have successfully used the Carnation "milk product for baking and cooking" in lieu of evaporated milk.

I would suggest that most of the tinned stuff sold in Thailand is not pure milk based but 10% Palm Oil plus suagr etc. Check the contents listed, the product varies in content with price, 15 - 23 Baht a tin.

check this site.....scroll down for blurb and pictures of condensed and evaporated milk distributed by F&N in Thailand.

http://www.fn.com.my/dairies.aspx I see a couple of these carnation evap milk products in Lotus most of the time.

There is one cheapy brand of sweetened condensed milk that has a pretty high milk content....higher than the more expensive brands, but I can't

remember if it's a store brand or if it was orchid. I always check labels before buying.

good luck
