Keep getting some pop-up warnings when playing video and audio

Hardware accelerator disabled

Direct draw acceleration disabled

Telling me I can enable them at the Direct Diagnostic Tool dxdiag.exe in the Display Tab

Firstly, what's this all about everything seems to be running o.k.

And if things could be better where do I find this mysterious Diagnostic tool. Now I am the first to admit

that my computer skills are as lowly as you guys will encounter but I can't find the bl--dy thing.

A small measure of guidance would be greatly appreciated. THANKS. Kim

click on the start menu, then select the 'run' command, when the box pops up, type "dxdiag" (without the quotes)
