If it is true, for good or bad, that Thailand is the most famous or infamous Country in the World in regards to the sex trade industry, which exists in every other country, the question is why? Some countries even have legalised prostitution and seem to get less attention.

I have a 'theory' which will be added, later, if the Topic generates any interest. First, I want to see what ideas and explanations come forth.

By using the word 'outstanding', I meant to select a 'neutral' word to cover the meanings of both the words 'best' and 'worst'.

What sex tourists, bar owners and corrupt officials might view as fame which promotes business, family people with Thai, or mixed Thai children might view it as infamy, with negative connotations, if Thailand really is the most renowned destination in the World for sex tourism.
