February 8, 200917 yr Was able to travel to Bkk immigration last Friday where I obtained a tourist visa extension of 30 days (expires 11 March 09), and you were correct Lite Beer, having all the completed documentation with me, the process took only about 40 minutes - very quick. I have now purchased a ticket BKK to LHR departing on 02 April which means I will need a further 30 days in Thailand once my tourist visa extension has expired. Knowing that I can do 2 x 15 days overland non-exempt stamp runs or 30 days at the airport, my question is: Am I able to fly to KL on or about 10 March and not leave KL airport but to remain in transit and return to Bkk the same day? Comments would be appreciated.
February 8, 200917 yr You have to enter Malaysia and get entry and a exit stamps. There is no fee for entering Malaysia. No problem to leave and come back the same day.
February 8, 200917 yr Yep. You can stay in the airport but you must go through Immigration before turning round and comming back.
