How to reduce the risk of insurance claim denials?
Agreed... its a delicate 'game'... But the 'long termers' are not here for medical treatment, though, it might attract those who are otherwise detracted due to their medical conditions. I think 'long termers' and 'tourists' could be treated differently from a medical insurance perspective - where tourists are required to show 'travel insurance'... and anyone with a visa has already paid into the national system and receives an insurance card. I believe this would be a workable solution - medically elective treatment to be held at the government hospital closest to your home - this would mean the 'elderly expats' have some cover. Emergency treatment at 'any hospital' (as per law - for at least 72 hours) - this avoids hospitals kicking out people through no cover etc. As they should... I believe medical health care to be a basic human right. But, of course, it must be paid for - I don't see anything wrong in contributing to the national system ( a fair amount ) in much the same way, foreign nationals have to pay the NHS surcharge. -

Anyone on a ketogenic diet whilst living here in Thailand?
Do you read your own links, or just headlines? Do you understand how to read science, and also understand each and one have individually needs when it comes to calories pr day, and also promotional mix of fat, carbs and protein. Every diet idea or culture based diets, have origins we today have modified, but still, as long you follow the basics, stay away from processed food, you most likely will reach your goals with Mediterranean "diet" idea, and lso enjoy your meals without to much craving. Good luck, I'm basically eating clean food, vegetables, and fruits, grains, nuts, youghurt and meat and do not need to call it anything. Protein 35 - 40% Carbs 35 - 40% Fat 20 - 25% Not so difficult if you also move your body 5 - 10 hour a week walking, swimming, lifting, kayaking/rowing And it is up to you, and nobody else to understand pure basics. If you are overweight, talk to your Dr, and do keto for a limited time if you want. I know it works, and it was easy and enjoyable, but I also understand it is not sustainable for a long period of time. The most important is to be disciplined and to be consistent -
