Which email Autoresponder open source free software is of better quality?

I as a technophobe, am looking for a simple free open source Autoresponder

which is easy to set up, & is for a small email list, its not really for full commercial

internet marketing guru reason I want one.

These are important points for me.

* Easy to set up & install. (If it generates the HTML etc for me to paste into a website, to make

an opt-in Subscribe to news letter add your email. Thats is what I want).

* Combination of Autoresponder, so I can set up a simple 6 or 7 pre set timed emails e.g. email mini course,

& also can use to send an occasional Email Blast to opt-in email list.

* I usually use Text emails, as I read on net etc Text emails, have better chance for reaching opt-in subscribers InBox,

as opposed to fancy email templates. So Lack for fancy Templates is not a concern for me.

* I can control the list, while remaining 100% ethical re email subscribers, I resent the Big Brother "do not trust you to be ethical" ethos on the likes of ConstantContact which I used before. and my research to date seems to indicate Aweber & getresponse policy on a new customer (me) importing a clean double opt-in email list, their policy of getting everyone to

re do the whole Opt in Again process, is very unfair.

So be very happy NOT to use Constantcontact which is limited I think, its really an emailer, &

moving my list, & asking them to re-opt in of which 80% of people will forget to do, if I use Awebber is a no no.

I use Your Mailing List Provider ymlp.com for email blast to my list, which is not a free service, but is

very cheap to use, & flexible, re time limits on credits you buy. I do wonder about its Deliverability to

opt in subscribers email Inbox re spam filters, ISPs etc.

I see several free open source autoresponders with emailer functions, & they seem similar to Aweber with the Big Brother BS.

Can anyone please make any recommendations?

I read that Infinite Response Autoresponder/Newsletter Mailer open source is good, & easier for a technophobe

to use, & I have noticed it, on email newsletters I subscribe to?

Any thoughts, ideas, recommendations?
