Mobile Phone Video Clips Problem, How To Edit On Pc ?

Hi

Problem/Help advice needed on what to do/how to edit Nokia Mobile Phone filmed

video clips, on the PC.

I transferred some Video clips (3or 4 mins long each approx) which I filmed on

the mobile phone (Nokia E90) & then I transferred the Video clips from Nokia E90 Mobile Phone

to my PC using Nokia PC Suite (E90 I connected to computer with cable provided).

The Nokia Video Files, play on the PC no problem using the default Video Player in Nokia PC Suite

& on RealPlayer too.

QUESTION?

How the hel_l do I Edit these Nokia Video clips which I think are MPEG-4 or MP4 files.

I have a few Video Editing Software Applications on the PC.

*I tried to drag and drop or open the Mobile Phone MPEG-4 video clips in all of the applications for Video Editing on the PC, and they will not even open or load up into the video editing software packages I have. (the clips are no more than 4 minutes long each, so its not like their massive files).

I started with the simple (so called! LOL) WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER which I think is default on most computers.

I CANNOT "drag or drop" or Open the Mobile Video files mpeg-4 files into Movie Maker, which gives me an message to

say Windows Movie Maker, cannot work with MPEG-4 files.

(Movie Maker Instructions seem simple. I cannot figure out why my 3 minute, mobile phone video clip will not upload into Windows Movie Maker, or any of the other applications below I have tried, with the same problem happening...nothing works?

I have a more advanced packages, ULEAD Video Studio 6 and Pinnacle 7 video editing applications & neither of them either will accept my Video Clips filmed on the Nokia Mobile Phone. Again seems like they cannot or will not accept the MPEG-4 file format. And I am not sure where to start with NERO7 as there is so many different applications in there it is confusing.

After much googling, I downloaded Super © which is supposed to change formats or file types, but I cannot figure out what I am supposed to be doing with this open source Super©, ( a few tests to convert to formats acceptable to Windows Movie Maker I did on Super© did nothing, though I probably did something wrong?)

**Can anyone tell me please in simple steps what application I should use to allow me to Drag & Drop or Import

the Mobile Phone Video MGEP-4 clips into WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER or ULEAD VIDEO STUDIO, NERO or PINNACLE 7 Studio, so I can edit the mobile video clips?

I think I am suppose to convert them into a different video format/file format but 2 hours spinning in circles. I have made no progression, & be delighted if anyone on here can urgent tell me a few simple steps what to do, or what the problem is and how to fix it?

Thanks for any help or instructions, I am sure its a simple thing I am missing out on doing?

The video files are probably in 3gp and not in mp4 format. You can convert it to AVI first before trying to edit it in Widows Movie Maker.

You can get a video format converter HERE or convert the video online HERE.

Convert your video file to AVI so you can edit it in Widows Movie Maker. After that, you can convert it the finished product to whatever format you would like to have.

Try the free Nokia Photos app. This is the PC based app that replaced the muvee program that used to be included to edit videos on some N Series phones. You need .net 3.0 or higher installed to use it. The E90 is listed as compatible.

Nokia Photos is a free PC application that you can use to manage all your photos and videos. Specially designed to work with Nseries devices, Nokia Photos can be used to transfer, edit, organize and share all the pictures and videos that you take with your Nseries device or digital camera.
