1st Time In Bangkok - Quick Question

Featured Replies

Hi all, am arriving in Bangkok for a few days before heading down to Ao Nang. Have 2 or 3 days to see the sights and enjoy the nightlife. What are peoples suggestions for "must see's", areas of interest for daytime and night time.

Would also like to know of any recommendations of where to stay. Have seen some nice Self Catering Apartments on the Riverside. Are these close enough to where I need to be?

Thanks all in advance

Asoke has been my fave area for 5 years now.

Skytrain and Metro are adjacent, get anywhere easily.

If ya wanna have a quiky look around, consider a day tour, most are comprehensive and good value, often 12 hours, lunch inc.

Asoke has hot nite life, inc the infamous, "Soi Cowboy", not to be missed by any normal red blooded guy.

Dunno if I am alloed to put this in, but have a look, cheap, clean. great staff.

May be called a hostel, but better than many 3* hotels, have a looksee.

Good luck, chears.

I would say visit the temples when in Bangkok. Dine at Sirocco. Visit khaosarn road sukhumvit road silom road suan lum night bazaar and can check www.virtualtourist.com for more details.
