We are thinking of moving to CR. Love the place!

But----I have angina, and recently had angioballoon and stent placed. This needs a cardiac catheter lab facility.

If this gets serious again, I may not have time to get to BKK or CM.

I know that u have 3 hospitals there. Are they fairly advanced?

Why you dont go and have a look yourself which hospital suits you the best so when something happens you know exactly where to go.

My wife used to work in the CMai University Hospital ( Suan Doc/ Maharaj ) in the Cardiology Dept. Her view is the head of Cardiology, she used to go to the Asian Cardiology Summits along with him, may be the best heart surgeon in Thailand. He trained in the USA ( Speaks English fluently and with a Texas Accent :o ) and worked there for many years before moving back to Chiang Mai. Though it's a government hospital, that's where I'd go if I needed a heart procedure. If you go to a private hospital in CMai you will most likely just have staff and a team from CMU anyway. Been in CMU Coronary ICU many times, as a guest luckily, and it's first rate.
