Hi there,

not sure if anyone knows the answer to this?

I have a 12mth Non-Imm B Visa that runs out in early August this year but I need to extend it by about 12 days then I go to Europe and hopefully get a new Visa.

I do travel regulary out of thailand each month.

My questions are;

Can I get an extension of 12 days or more to see me through till I return to Europe?

If I travel out of thailand prior to my current visa running out, when i return and get my 90 day stamp will this be sufficient to allow me to leave thailand after the current 12mth Visa expires? Or will I be stopped and fined by Immigration next time I leave, if its after the expiry date stamp on the 12mth Visa?

What is the best and safest way to allow me to leave after my 12mth Visa runs out, I need about 12 days more after it expires.

Hope you follow that and can help?

If you are talking about a Multi Entry Non Imm B Visa you can leave any time before it expires and get another 90 days stamp when you return. Even if you return the day before it expires you will get 90 days.

so providing I leave before the new 90 day stamp expires I wont get fined, even if the date is after the expiry date on the actual 12mth Multi Entry Non Imm B Visa stamp......yes?

What counts is your permision to stay stamp, not the visa expiry.

If you enter the day before the visa expires you will get another 90 days permision to stay. You can stay until that 90 days is up if you wish.

All assuming that you have a 12 month multi entry visa obtained from a Thai Consulate.

OK, so if my 1 year Multi Entry Non Imm Visa visa runs out on say the 10th August, I leave on 3rd August for a trip return on 5th then get another 90 days.

If I then fly out again on say the 20th the fact my 1 year visa has expired makes no difference as I have a current 90 day stamp, I wont get fined for over staying?
