Today's BKK Post states that:

Minister: Govt not favouring PAD .....

Prime Minister's Office Minister Satit Wongnongtaey denied having pressured the Secretariat of the Prime Minister to withdraw a lawsuit against People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) leaders for encroaching the Government House.

He insisted that the government does not favour the PAD, but...

Yup, they are just very, very forgiving. Want to move on....mai pen lai....etc. etc. But definitely not showing favoritism!

Bravo! I see that you too understand the essence --indeed, the quintessence-- of the reality of the situation. I deem thee enlightened.

PAD are a potential troublemaking thorn in the side for any govt, even one supposedly on the same side.

If they're smart, they'll be discretely pressuring them to disband and prosecuting/discrediting the ringleaders without appearing to be working against them.

Why pressure them in a discrete manner? Maybe I'm just dumb, but.... if... for example.... a group of people seized and effectively stopped the operations of Heathrow, SFO or --God forbid --- a major airport in mainland China... would not the authorities in those respective countries take .... uhhhh.... definitive action???
