desertrat
Things to do Most Thai females hate it, but since vouchers for gold chains have been placed to encourage them there has been a quickening interest. We have some philanthropists, as all this is free except for sweat and tears (of joy on accomplishment). Reasonable IQ necessary. There is no need to log in or create a free account Go to Hide and Seek Menu then Thailand and have a looksee Edited March 8, 2009 by desertrat

neverdie
There are soo many weekend markets, all over the townJust pick the location nearest you What is it with sheilas and shopping....I couldnt think of anything worse than going to a market or shopping centre & shuffling around with the couple of other million thais that are there window shopping... The bbq at home would be great (u must be an aussie).....try planing one with some friends and a theme.....make it an all day event with absolutely no intent of surfacing to goto work monday . I like to lay in the hammock under my big mango trees & sample every bit of food that comes past the soi without getting my backside out of the sling....I just cant believe how much food gets delivered right to the end of my hammock . MidoriApple
How about taking boat trip to Koh Kred? U can enjoy seeing Thai simply living along the Chao Phraya River. There is a set-up boat trip called 'Koh Kred Cruise' at Sathorn Pier only on Sunday. And the tour takes from 10am-3pm, one day.. cost about 300 baht. (not sure) Well, this is all I know, you can google for more information or go to pier, also one another pier..(haha..forget name) to see and can ask the staffs there. I plan to go so many times but...have no time or been busy.. Or simply take a public boat, go along Chao Phraya River yourself to Nonthaburi Province.. Enjoy sightseeing along the river. I do really love seeing Thai temples at afternoon time.. and go having Thai style food in Nonthaburi. Or..umm not sure..but few years ago..I took a boat trip to Bang Pra In Palace in Ayuddhaya province. I went by Oriental Hotel Services, got Thai buffet food in boat also. It takes from early morning to late afternoon. Really hope these help! /Cheers

Well, I can check tomorrow and back to inform more. Usually go visit there and is so much fun for me.
jcon
a couple of ideas: - Sunday is a Lover's day... you should try to spend it with the one you love, at home... lazing around in your pjs, eating junk food, dancing to cheesy music, making love... it's the best day to build bonds with your significant other IMO. - If you want to go out, how about a drive? I often drive when I'm bored, and on Sunday there is the least traffic... 1-1.5 hours and you're in Kao Yai, a nice day trip... You don't even have to get up that early... just drive fast, get there around 3pm, hike a trail or just drive around, then come back... (p.s. The BBQ idea is a good one if you want to enjoy the day with friends - but BBQ usually means drinking, and friends are probably the same ones you went out with on Saturday and everybody will be hungover!!! But it's dam_n hot nowadays... I would want to be the 'barbeque-er' )

I was going to say : Walk around the house naked, listen to music, have sex a few times. You drive to Khao Yai in 1 to 1.5 hrs ? Man, that's fast, unless you live on the northern outskirts of BKK. Try Safari World. You can feed the giraffes. Great fun.

What about fishing? Your comment is just bla!! Going to the weekend market is not all about shopping, but sampling of the local foods directly from makers themselves, and a chance to mingle and get to know the locals better in the area where you live. You are talking like a snooty farang high on the ivory tower....... and a good thing I won't have to come across you there...........

Jimjim
Go get a relaxing massage together. Go shopping. Bowling. Cinema. Ride the BTS from one end to the other. Great bird's eye view of the city (so says that cartoon map Mary Chandler's, or whatever it's called). Take a bike ride at that park by Queen Sirikit. Cheap rentals. Floating market. Muang Thong Thani Impact Arena and surrounding convention centers usually have something happening. Take a day trip up to Lopburi and look at the Monkey temples. Take a trip to Ko Sichang, closer than Pattaya and still a fairly quiet island. Go eat seafood on the beach south of Bangkok but north of Pattaya. Only takes an hour to get there. Take a dinner cruise on Chao Phraya. Go to the zoo. Go to Siam Ocean Park (but be sure to not pay the tourist price!) Go to Suan Siam (but beware your life may be in danger!) Safari World Dreamworld Go to King's Park near Seacon Square. It's huge. Rent a paddleboat. I had fun doing that. Go to the waterpark atop the Mall Bangkapi. Take a trip on the canal taxi from the Mall Bangkapi to all the way near Khao San. Chatuchuck Market Lumpini Park etc.

Pakeha
Play cricket Sounds a bit serious. KEG cricket... Now there's a wonderful Sunday!!! The girls can even join in cos someone needs to run the drinks out and make lunch On a serious not there's an awesome big lake out in the burbs somewhere with restaurants over the lake, huge fish swimming below you and great food - straight out of the lake. You can hire a little boat or even a little private shack thing to fish from if you want. Practically all Thais there. It's one of the best days I've ever had in BKK. I can find out the name if you're interested. Let me know. It's a pretty large lake! And it's very romantic too if you want it to be.
