so i'm coming to Phuket in April and need to know where to stay please. i read the pinned list above of places under bt1000 which sound good but don't know where any of those places are! if they're in Phuket or not. i will be arriving in Phuket and need to know of a place to go and stay rather than figuring it out when i land. please help! thanks.

Don't wish to be unhelpful but Phuket is not small and probably 5000 places to stay on the island. Why not do a little research on other specific travel sites or visit the phuket forum on here. there are many booking engines that have detailed beach and hotel descriptions...to help you narrow it down.

Normally, someone would come on here and say between hotel x,y and z what is your favorite?

You won't get much more than this I am betting because your original question is a rather vague. Considering you are coming in less than a month, I find it odd that you have no idea about where you want to be.

Good luck.

hey, i stayed in a very nice place for 1 week last week, its called mareeya place - www.mareeyaplace.com, ph. +66 0 76 385 633. its located in kamala beach area, about 20 minutes from patong. price depends on how much you negotiate, the rooms are brand new, quiet, have everything in there that even 5 star hotels dont have and they have used very good quality fittings and fixtures, beds are awesome. p.m me if you want more info and i might be able to get you a cheaper price. ive stayed in alot of rooms in thailand between the 700-1500 baht a night range and these are far by the best. they have some sort of deal with a big hotel next door and your allowed to use their pool and gym i believe. enjoy
