Checked the usual suspects (Tesco Carrefour) expecting to find it commonly... anyone seen it around the traps or is it more in the specialist hair supply stores?

you can get the gel type brylcreem but the old traditional one in the red screw cap jar is impossible to find......

I buy the red screw cap at Carrefour - Chaeng Watthana. They sell the red and the blue . . . Cost for memory around 50 Baht . . . .

As you can see by my hair it works very well . . . . . .

Foodland at Silom have both the Blue and Red versions

You guys don't go to bed with that glop in your hair do you? It's made out of hydogenated palm oil. Devil to get out of the sheets. Flammable too. It's a dirt magnet. Women don't run their hands through your hair do they?

CORRECTION - The wife informs me that I purchased it from Villa Market - Ploenchit . . . I little dab will do ya . . . . . .

When I first came to Thailand Brylcreem (pronounced bi-cleem) was the standard accoutrement at massage parlours when it came around to the happy ending part. I'm out of touch with that scene now but you might ask there.

Later on they found out that it could be used on hair too.

wonderful.... Villa Silom is close enough for me to get a regular supply, knew there had to be some 'greasers' out there....lol

I can't find Brylcream up in Isaan. I now use 'Action' and actually prefer it to Brylcream. It comes in a blue container and is sold at many supermarkets. Apply similar to Brylcream.

Not used Brylcreem for years and years. It is for the old timers now in the UK, and not many of them use it. The younger generations use new fangled hair care gels.

I found Action yesterday at Carrefour Rama 4 88baht for a tub, so may try that when the current runs out... I was not sure actually what it was since it says naught on the outside really, but the tub gave it away I thought, thanks for the clarification... New fangled hair gels don't do the trick and cost 5 times as much, I could fill a book with what young people DON'T KNOW.

Congratulations John . . . 500 posts .

Shave your head, it's cheaper and won't trap flies.

I used to use that grease when I was 12 years old. A little dab ill do you. 1/20th of a tube. Used to have contests who could get the longest spittle emitted from your comb. I found out at 13 the grease works excellent on motorcycle chains. Better than chain foam. seriously brylcreem will shut down your hair follicles which leads to hair loss. Probably the popularity in the 50-s too early 60's for hats to hide the receding hairlines. :o
