Just a pity it's not a bank holiday here in the UK...

Have a good one bedlamites!

I thought he was Welsh with a Roman father ?

They did the celebrations with the green beers etc Saturday night here but I expect there will be a few places doing the bizzo tonight (any excuse).

There are the usual "Irish style" pubs/bars here, of course they are nothing like any Irish bar in the Emerald Isle but who cares? As long as the place serves Guinness they seem to be able to claim it's Irish.

Judging by the amount of people you see worldwide celebrating Saint Paddy's day there must be more Irish in the world than Chinese. Of course virtually every American president has been able, by hook or by crook, to claim Irish ancestry but dear old Obama looks to have missed out.

i shall be out tonight crawling the irish bars around lower Suk.... i see they are all doing Guniess for 100 THB a Pint :D

Happy Paddies day to you all !

:o:D

That looks and sounds rather upchuckable, but probably tastes ok. A bit like an expensive mouth wash...

1 oz. Cognac

1 oz. Green Creme de Menthe

1 oz. Bailey's Irish Crème

:o

Moss, have you ever drunk this?

Yes he did..

His name was never Moss until that fateful night, two sips and the green fungus that appeared on the back of his hands, changed his life for ever.

1 oz. Cognac

1 oz. Green Creme de Menthe

1 oz. Bailey's Irish Crème

This actually sounds quite nice, I have drunk far worse! :D

Mr Boo asked why I had bought him a 4 pack of Guinness when he got in from work last night. After getting the reason he is now a fan of St Paddys day too.

I can't drink the black stuff to toasted the Irish cousins with a nice bottle of Californian rose )

It is and I have too.......

Quite a suitable substitute I might add

It's the crème de menthe that gets me - mouth wash

Whatever happened to the old fashioned Irish Coffee. Yummy.

Ooooh, you can't beat an Irish coffee...

Yes I just read in today's Korea Herald that he claims Irish ancestry. All through his election campaign he was a black guy of Kenyan muslim descent blah blah blah, no mention of Irish. Now there's free Guinness on the table he's as Irish as a leprechaun to-be-sure to-be-sure. But I guess by July 4th he'll be as American as apple pie, as long as he stays his natural color and doesn't try the Michael Jackson makeover he'll be okay.

That cocktail looks a hel_l of a big glass, if you finished the day on two of those I doubt if you'd be making much sense the next day.

Creme de Menthe, like liquid toothpaste (cue Billy Connelly joke).

Ooooh, you can't beat an Irish coffee...

Yes you can ..... with another one.

Or with a whisk ?

Chuck the whole lot down the neck so it hits the stomach like an express train and order another while you can still speak a reasonable approximation of English (or whatever language the bartender understands).

I've often wondered why so many countries have simple flags with only two or three coloured bands. Now I know. It's to make the bartender's job easier.

Hughie Green? :o
