just baffling that is. if someone in the kop took a photo of gary neville celebrating at anfield i'd expect them to get a slap around the head.

Don'T think it was James do you on his first trip to OT? :o

Mr Toad, I am having a hard enough time trying to deal with all these Scousers - certainly don't need a UTD supporter giving them more ammunition!

Seeing as Stevie Wonderboy is due in court anytime now - perhaps we can ask Jstar or Migsy to rename this ; Liverpool Police?

What will his plea be?

1) Guilty

2) Not Guilty

3) Not Guilty on Grounds of Drunken-ness

4) Temporalily insane - again

5) It wasn't me, it was my mafia friend

6) I am Steven Gerrard - Mr. Livepool - you can't arrest me.

his plea is already 'not guilty', james. i'm just hoping that the judge isn't an evertonian.

I heard a rumour that the Judge ( a Man Utd fan ) was very upset that his Court helpline tel number had been changed to.:

Here you can see the thug and his mates in action

I am certainly no Liverpool fan, but calling Gerard a thug, is nothing short of childish immaturity.

First of all, he is the best English player in the premiership, bar none. One of the best in the world.

As far as I am aware he has no previous convictions.

The silly reference to hitting kids, was a low speed accident where he knocked a kid off a bike. Wasnt found guilty of ANYTHING, and in fact was an excellent ambassador for the football club with his actions after.

His current situation, is on bail nothing as yet proved. That video clip, IMHO, is handbags at 50 paces, nothing showing Gerard doing anything.

So whats your definition of 'THUG', James.?

Someone who has a string of speeding offences? RF

Someone who has a drink driving conviction? RF

Someone who until recently was always in trouble in and around clubs? RF

Not neccessarily a 'thug', but nearer one than Gerard will ever be.......and that name is Rio Ferdinand

Thug, someone who gets charged by the police with ganging up on one individual. Or someone who hires someone to 'take care of mafia' types.

JD, if you want to talk about Rio, start a thread mate. Otherwise, will have to bring up Joey Barton on ya mate :o

'charged' = not guilty.

happily the uk for all its civil liberties erosion hasn't quite got around to abolishing the principle of innocent until proven guilty in a court of law just yet.

but then again, you will probably like this stevie...

Assault Case Against Steven Gerrard Is Dropped

An assault case against Steven Gerrard - from an alleged incident dating back to December - has been dropped, but the Liverpool captain still faces charges of affray...

Liverpool's talismanic supplementary striker Steven Gerrard is due in court today, yet he will only be contesting one of the two cases levelled against him as the assault charge has been dropped.

Gerrard, 28, will still face a charge for affray, relating to an alleged brawl in a Southport night club on December 29 2008.

Seven men in total will appear in court, Gerrard being one of them, for the reported incidents at the Lounge Inn bar.

Gerrard will submit a formal plea, believed to be not-guilty, and then magistrates will decide whether or not to pursue the case in the crown court.

Marcus McGhee, a 44-year-old businessman, ended up with a missing tooth and suffered facial injuries as a result of the melee.

as i said at the time, the assault will be dropped and the affray would continue.

all will appear at Liverpool crown court on 3rd April, however I doubt the trial will commence at this point, probably a prima facae trial first to see if the charge is to be answered
