Replaced NOD32 with Avira last year and have been happy with it. Occasionally does not make good connection during daily update but normally not more than two days before it connects and can always be manually updated. It is normally one of the best at detection in independent tests. So far have resisted the nag screen to buy full suite.

So did I. Was a hardcore supporter of NOD32 but switched to Avira recently. It runs like a charm.

and it plays very well together with Comodos firewall! On my notebook I use Avast. Both play in the same league.

And welcome back, Lopburi3. Good to see you again! :o

Avira is excellent, we use it at work. It once detected a virus being broadcast over bluetooth from an infected phone (the owner was having lunch outside my office). But I hate its daily pop up advertisement - dam_n annoying.

does it have realtime-protection ? means, if I click a website that is infected (which I think is the biggest danger nowadays), will it warn me immidiately and block the website from opening ?
