There is certainly nightlife there, Nana Plaza for a start has many bars, ask any taxi or tuk tuk driver and they will take you there. If you haven't been before its worth a visit. NEP (Nana Entertainment Plaza) has three floors, well it did last time I went there. Many of these bars have shows, Go-Go dancing etc. The place is full of girls, all willing for a shilling (well 1000 baht+ actually). Outside on the rest of Soi Nana (Soi 4) you will find some small bars, restaurants and a disco. As I say, go and take a look, you might like what you see, then again you might not.
