no sign of bigsy today?????? maybe hes heard sumit?????

Hooraaaaaaaah!!!

We got the good news today. Only took 12 weeks.....during which time i could have gone on an "around-the-world" trip with Phileas Fogg :) Oh well, i'll put the whole thing down to experience and perhaps now i might stop sending death threats to the embassy!

Joking aside, i wish everybody the best of luck in receiving the right kind of news. The whole process is a pain in the ar*se but what else did we expect.....this is Thailand after all.

Cheers

Give Chewys wife her Uk visa tomorrow

And forgive him for his swearin, as we forgive him his been a long time waitin

Well, another night of no sleep and persistent calls to the embassy got me this reply today:

Thank you for your email of 30 June 2009.

Due to any case specific enquiries will only be answered by the Entry Clearance Officer, as they operate on a strictly first come first serve basis and there are certainly no discriminations of any kind. Kindly wait till they reply your e-mail please. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

I would have thought that as I am complaining my application has not been properly judged that the first come first served policy puts me ahead of any new applications... Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Right, I'm on the 12.30pm from Heathrow direct to Bangkok tomorrow and I've got my head knockin' gloves on!

NEED SOME help and guidance people, just spoke to embassy in Jamaica (visa section) they say they are waiting on information coming back to them?? is this normal , it is 12 weeks tomorrow when we put application in.

the only thing i can think is they are checking wife's documents are true, they are in Thai and translated into English with the ministry of foreign affairs stamped on them police check is addressed to the UK embassy.

would they still send to Thailand to check documents and and if so why if in English.

your help and thoughts gladly taken.

Wow that's a lot of support tonight. Am very nervous now.

How did chrisspursbkk1 get on today as he is not on our list and has now been waiting 108 days?

his last message was today 16.50

Still no news, she got down to Regent house only to be told they haven't got it yet, its still in the embassy but will be there 100% today.

I will post later if i can bear it.

Chris.

mmm strange how he waits 108 days then calls his mate in the Embassy, i think i would have called him long before then.

Hope he got good news

I've just tried phoning the Embassy on behalf of a friend of my wife who applied for a settlement visa on the 20th March (15 weeks today) and is still waiting. I spoke to the operator who told me the visa dept didn't accept phone calls. after explaining that the time she had been waiting was excessive the operator asked me to wait then transfered me to a prepared prerecorded message. The message said all inquiries must be made to the VFS office and that the embassy's visa dept would only accept emails and faxes. If the fax/email was on compassionate grounds they would answer within one day but if it was a general inquiry it would be ignored.

It also stated that they wouldn't accept any third party inquiries. I took that to mean that the applicant had to be the one sending the fax/email, the spouse couldn't inquire on their behalf.

It sounds like they have had too many phone calls so have 'closed the door' on phoning the Embassy direct.

I'm going to suggest to her husband that he asks his MP to phone them. It might not be so clever of them to put an MP through to a recorded message, third party or not.

Hi All,

This system is a joke, 16 weeks today and we still don't know, we were told yesterday it would be there 100% but they just tell you what you want to hear.

They say its in the VFS office but has yet to be sorted yet, whatever that means?

I really don't know how much of this i can take, there messing up peoples life's, it the Mrs birthday tomorrow i really hope we get some good news.
