Jaggg88 Posted September 10, 2009 Share Posted September 10, 2009 It seems to have gone dead again, There seems to be no movement after, Bukseeda, so near yet so far, I think it might be that there are so few of us now waiting, not sure if this is a sign that less are applying for visas or just less are using this forum, perhaps 92 pages is putting a few people off reading and joining the list? I've been thinking the same. If there are so few applications now why is it taking so long for decisions (it did get down to 9wks at one stage) or perhaps previous posts have given ppl the info they need so they haven't joined. Anyway the service has deteriorated to the point where the Border Agency are now breaching their own guidelines so now is the time to lodge formal complaints. Same happened with us on Wednesday, she got the message late in the day but works closeby so managed to get there just in time. The doors were locked, but she knocked and the officer opened them. You can check how many visas are being applied for in total by looking at your APET numbers. The first group of six numbers after 'APET' is the date you applied for the visa and the second group of six numbers is a sequential count of ALL types visas applied for. So if those of you who are still waiting and those who have recently heard were to compare that second group of numbers you can work out how many visas in total are currently being applied for each week/month. In the early days of this thread, when those of us who had applied during March/April, were seeing an ever lengthening wait I compared some of our numbers and, by also using information given by the Embassy/UKBA, I was able to guess, within two/three days for most, when people were likely to hear about their visas. If I remember correctly, on average about 7-10% of all applications are for settlement visas. As for our numbers, in the last forteen days of March there were a total of about 2702 applications and for the whole of April there were about 3771 applications. The number of applications seemed to peak around the second week of April then start to tail off. If anybody wants to work out how many visas have been applied for since then the last number I have (for the end of April) is 069907. I would like to really thank THAIVISAEXPRESS i know some of you have done it yourselves but Paul has helped me keep calm when I was stressed, understand the process, put through my appliaction, help me get amrried, his office and staff in Thailand have been great all the way through with my wife answering all questions, and queries she has had.
