I just arrived in BKK on a 90 Non-Im O Visa. I have only been here 1 week. I will be applying for an extension based on retirement. Can I apply for and receive that extension now, or do I have to wait a certain period of time before applying?

I have the income letter from the embassy, health OK from a local hospital, and a clearance letter from the police in my hometown in the states; all translated into Thai.

I think all I need now is a couple of pics, copies of my passport, a filled out TM7 and 1900 baht.

Do I wait or am I missing something else?

Thanks

Normaly you apply in the last 30 days of your permission to stay. You don't need the health checl or police clearence, but you do need to show an income of 65,000 a month OR 800,000 in a bankaccount in Thailand for at least 2 months OR a combination of income and money in the bank totaling 800,000. Seems you are set to go, you can always try to do it early.
