Laundry Powder/liquid

Featured Replies

It seems most laundry powders and liquids contain fluorescent compounds ('bluing agents') to make whites etc. seem brighter. However in many clubs and bars these compounds glow where so-called black-lights are used and look patchy, especially on trousers.

Anyone know which brands/types of detergent do not contain these compounds? I'm guessing biological/anti-allergic brands might not.

If you have over-blued your white pet, please contact us. Please be assured that bluing is non-toxic and will not harm your pet. We will help you remove the excess bluing from the white hair.

Thanks Pimfram, some tips but I'd rather avoid it in the first place. Unless I buy a black-light I can't tell it's there until it's too late.

And as for dipping my little furry pet in the stuff... :o:D
