phaethon
It seems most laundry powders and liquids contain fluorescent compounds ('bluing agents') to make whites etc. seem brighter. However in many clubs and bars these compounds glow where so-called black-lights are used and look patchy, especially on trousers. Anyone know which brands/types of detergent do not contain these compounds? I'm guessing biological/anti-allergic brands might not.

phaethon
Thanks Pimfram, some tips but I'd rather avoid it in the first place. Unless I buy a black-light I can't tell it's there until it's too late. And as for dipping my little furry pet in the stuff...
