March 22, 200917 yr Hi,thank you for the help. I obtained a 60 day tourist visa in the US before I came to Thailand, then received a 30-day extension that runs out on April 16th. My "base", as sorts is in Ubon Ratchathani. My question is, would it be possible to apply for another Tourist Visa? I am not sure if there are any rules regarding getting a new one within a certain period of time. This would be my preffered action based on the research I've done. If not, what would be the best course of action for me? I would like to stay in Thailand for another two months, and border crossings every 15 days to Chong Mek do not look appealing. Thank you

March 22, 200917 yr You can't get another Tourist Visa inside Thailand. You can get as many as you want from Thai Embassies and Consulates in the area. Tourist Visas are free at the moment.
